“I chose to be a part of the Alabuga Start programme because it offered me a brand new life,” the participants of the new wave shared their impressions of the programme

In the first half of 2024, approximately 200 new participants joined the Alabuga Special Economic Zone as part of the Alabuga Start programme. These young females are currently undergoing an adaptation period, during which they are learning Russian with the assistance of our instructors. They are also working in their chosen fields under the guidance of experienced mentors and becoming acquainted with the local culture.

“I chose to be a part of Alabuga Start programme because it offered me a new life and a fresh environment to learn more about the culture here in Russia,” shared Rorisang Kasaka from Botswana. “What I love about my neighbours is their kindness and willingness to help. They assist me with many things, including my Russian studies. I'm still getting used to the language and am in the process of learning.”

The girls follow a 2/2 schedule: they work for 2 days in their chosen field, studying work processes in practice, and for the next 2 days they learn Russian with teachers.

“I like my team at work. My team at work are Russians,” said Elissa Maria from Algeria. “I do good communication with them. We are helping each other. I am good with them.”

As a friendly reminder, Alabuga Start is an international program tailored for ambitious young women aged 18 to 22, offering them the opportunity to relocate to Russia and pursue a successful career.
